"I am the war"
"Nothing is more important than to maintain the fragility connected tosuffering. We are all disabled, our sensibility itself has become oneof the forms of the disease. The word used today is allergy. Theallergy becomes identified with an organ or with the entire body, slides under the skin or into a pathologically hypersensitive nervoussystem. Something assimilates it to the substance of normal life and itis shipwrecked inside us. Our only choice is between rhinoceros skinand the allergy."
Georges Bataille, Hamwas

Art Festival of Pannonhalma

„Arcus Temporum ” – Art Festival of Pannonhalma
Festival of contemporary music and dance/theater

Artistic Director of the dance/theatre section: Laszlo Hudi and organized by the Moving House Foundation.
The festival is organized by the Benedictine Archabbey at Pannonhalma witch is one of the most important spiritual and cultural center of Hungary since more than 1 000 years, half way between Budapest and Vienna, not far from the city of Győr.
Our festival works with the artist in the profound of his art. We don’t want to invite many shows of many artists, like a normal festival, where you arrive and play and leave. Asking just a few artists, but trying to spend more time. Trying to put the artist’s personality and his work in the center of an incidence and give the time and the possibility to the real encounter. One composer, one director or choreograph.
Our guest was among others: Szofia Aszgatovna Gubajdulina, Eiko and Koma, Valentine Silvestrov, Cindy van Acker / Company Greffe, Bent Sorensen, Pál Frenák Company.
This year festival: 21-22-23. august 2009. with Giya Kancheli and Christian Rizzo.
